Starfield Backdrops  started off designing starfield backdrops hence the name.We soon found a gap in the market for low cost BUT reliable LED fixtures. Running shows with LED fixtures is easier and more cost effective. We at Starfield Backdrops will continuously update the equipment available to try and stay in line with what is happening around the world.Starfield Backdrops have been key in 3 venues where the shows are lit with ONLY LED fixtures and intelligent lighting, YES it is possible now days to use these fixture to light the shows as great advances have being made with the light output. All products are tested before we import any of the fixtures and when the demo units arrive we test them ourselves. Here are some of the key points to consider:One huge advantage is that the power required to run LED fixtures is very low. Cutting the power consumption reduces the cost of the wiring for the building as well as the size of standby generators.Another advantage of using LED lighting is that you are not restricted to one color per can, as 1 fixture can produce 16 million colors.All the LED fixtures can strobe which allows the lighting designer to strobe the whole rig if need be - in any color - once again reducing costs.Most LED fixtures use long life LEDs which cuts the cost of lamp replacement dramatically.

There is no need to climb up to the fixture to change the filter, or to fork out for noisy, unreliable gel scrollers or delicate, expensive dichroic glass filters. Most LED fixtures use long life LEDs which cuts the cost of lamp replacement dramatically. There is no need to carry spare lamps, and scrambling to replace a blown lamp just before (or even during) a show becomes a thing of the past. How many times have you seen artists looking like they have just got out of the shower after walking on stage due to the heat produced by a conventional PAR can rig. We also have exterior fixtures (IP 65 rated) to light up structures, buildings, trees or anything else that needs to be lit outdoors, without having to worry that wet weather is going to spoil your desired effect. LED fixtures also help to you do your bit for the environment as you will reduce power consumption and the use of plastic in the form of colour gels.
