CABCON Technologies quickly became an established manufacturer and distributor of a wide range of local and specialized cables.

Cabcon Technologies (Pty) Ltd started in 2003 as a small distributer of basic cables in Benoni, but quickly grew into a significant manufacturing company with hundreds of local and specialized cables, connectors and accessories that are manufactured and distributed across the world. Cabcon Technologies (Pty) Ltd offers uncompromising adherence to quality and customer specification standards, yet is able to offer flexible and competitive pricing across its product range. If we say a cable is made a certain way, albeit standard specification or customer request, then that is how the cable is made. Cabcons Managing Director, Stephen Bowles, has been in the cable manufacturing industry for more than twenty years and through his passion and experience, has guided Cabcon to where it is today. He has designed a number of speciality cables for customers who had a specific cable requirement but did not know how to achieve it. Through his design and ingenuity Cabcon is able to manufacture some of the most unique application cables in the industry. CABCONs CAB-TECH fire resistant cable is the only fire resistant cable that has been tested by SABS and passed. CABCONs BEE status has expired and is currently being reviewed. View PDF CABCON has recognised the poor quality of copper in the market and has made significant investment by purchasing its own copper drawing line as well as a copper tinning line to ensure the reliable quality that customers have come to expect from CABCON. CABCON is one of the few companies in South Africa to manufacture silicone cable. CABCON has its’ own injection moulding machine to manufacture plastic reels. CAB-TECH FIRE cable silicone is embedded with volcanic rock to ensure integrity during a fire, conventional silicone will fail. At CABCON, the following standards are used in the manufacture of our cables: SANS 1411-1 for copper conductors. CABCON manufactures and supplies cable and connectors that are used in a variety of infrastructure from power stations to airports. This is a technically advanced product of the highest quality, yet still priced to remain competitive in the market.
