This chemical energy is reconverted on demand from the electrical system. It develops voltage from the chemical reaction produced when two dissimilar metals such as the positive and negative plates, are immersed in the electrolyte, a solution of sulphuric acid and water. Electricity flows from the battery as soon as there is a circuit between the positive and negative terminals. Visually inspect the terminals and cables at least once a year especially in hot temperatures for signs of corrosion. Caster wheels are equipped to the case as well to ensure that the system does not move unnecessarily. These should be locked in place when system is stationary. This can be changed using the switch on the left of back panel. It is recommended that the system always be set to regulated mode as this would prevent any damages to appliances connected. The system has a built in circuit breaker that will trip in the case of a short circuit or an overload.
